does the lure go in back of box so weasal set off trap by going over it or do you put lure or bait on trap pan so weasal trips it by going after bait or lure?

What are you doing for bait and lure 2Poor?

Whats the height?

Is it 12" long with the "hood"?

Is there a floor?

that lure being used in that pic by 2poor is the MOOSE RIVER LURE WINTER RANGE just mix it with sum muskrat or beaver meat it works awesome allthough i dont think that is 2poor's pic seems how i have seen the same exact pic on my buddys website who sells this lure.

crazy_trapper, I suspect you have just given both too much and misleading information:
  • I think 2poor and the Jack Pine Savage wanted to keep the name of that lure a secrtet
  • I think you are underestimating 2poor. That sure looks like one of his weasel boxes in the photo to me. Same with the yellow panned Victor, and the unmistakeable signature grooves left in that stump by a Stihl chainsaw.

About a dozen times a year ! Trap placement and hole height are quite critical. Weasel trapping is a learning experience !

Do you just set that rat trap in there? Or is it anchored somehow?

Does anything ever get at your weasels that are sticking out of the box half way?

No reason to anchor a trap inside a box.

Only damage I have ever had was from voles/mice/shrews !

Never had any Weasel damaged that was sticking out. I have had Weasels damaged when they are completely in the box then the rodents can enter and chew up the Weasel inside the shelter of the box !
