The only catch pole I have ever used, was one I put together years ago with some old 1/8" winch cable and a 3' section of vacuum cleaner tube.
Now I'm starting to wonder what I am missing. What do you guys use? I'm getting fat and lazy, so looking for something easy to carry and use, and of course reliable and durable.
I would be using it primarily coyotes.

I have a Ketch-All and IMO, it's the best out there.

I just recently bought a Ketch-All. I think it's gonna be the ticket.

I have had one of the PVC ones for years, but had a dog destroy the cable. The Ketch-All swivels on the end if the animal starts rolling. Also has a quick release.

cool

I havent graduated to the catch all yet, but i built one out of schedule 40 pvc approx 40 inches long with 3/32 cable and the clothes line lock. Works good on cats, yotes, foxes, etc. I just couldn't see spending the money on the catch all YET.

Yip, and it appears to be the adjustable one in the short (sturdy) position. It is one of what I am currently favoring.
I have never heard anything negative about the catchall.

Over the years I have seen some decent homemade designs on this site. They seem to be functional, and even efficient, and definately cheap. Even my own home built that I made before the age of the internet has been functional, but, I am at the stage where I am ready to spend a c-note for a sophisticated commercial one.

How about the Tomahawk? Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks, guys, I noticed this had slipped onto page 2 before I could thank you for your opinions.

There is no question left in my mind which way to go.
