Certainly wasn't for the infra structure> No wonder it's cheaper to use India for his center piece. It isn't skilled labor on those streets. I worked in Telephone industry all my life & this mess is unbelievable to me.

Mira, I knew a guy from Cape Breton when I worked in telecom. His name was Sandy ??? and he worked for Nortel. It's a long shot but do you know him?

Makes a man wonder about Gates though. Here he is telling us how good the new President Elect will be for American jobs as he ships American jobs overseas. This is one very strange world we are living in today. Nobody seems to be able to connect the dots anymore. Folks that used to be able to buy the stuff Gates is selling, are loosing their jobs here, while he ships more jobs overseas and then he complains about the busted economy here. DUUUUUHHHHHH?? Our telcos would be buried under red tape & fines, if we tried to pass the above networking, to North Americans.

Nope, wasn't MacSween. Hmmm. I've been racking my brain and can't think of his last name.
BTW, I've seen many cities with wiring like that when I was overseas. It's amazing. If someone wants a new phone line, they'll just unhook someone elses and hook it up. The people with the money keep the phone lines.

Could it have been Sandy Munroe. He is from here but grew up in Chicago.
