i have been taking my little brother to a fishing pond to catch bait and weve caught about a five gallon buckets worth of chubs, small bluegills (big ones were human food), and some carp....i want to preserve them raw so i can use them as bait this season... so what do baitmakers use to preserve raw fish for their baits????

Use a heavy cover of table salt. Let them stew in the brine.

Freezer, just freeze them and thaw as needed.
