I am going to build a skinning machine. What is the best height and width to mount the clamps? I plan on using it on coons and coyotes. I can build it to be adjusable if I know what the best Height and width are for both. Is two clamps enough or would four be better?

I use 2 clamps, 20" high and 15" apart (give or take an inch) that works great for me. I'll post you link to pictures here in a second...

adc,,did you find it necessary to use the second pulley with your winch? just curious as i have the same one. bought it 4 years ago and just now getting around to getting it together. thanks, tim Yes the second pully actully slows down the pull so you can watch better to prevent tearing pelts. It was reccomended to me to use it by JMorris and I'd reccomend it as well. ~ADC~
