Hello,I need advice in picking a trapping basket.I have no idea, all I know is.Carrying a 5 gal. bucket gets heavy and bulky.Just has to be a better way. Thanks for your input.

Getting old is a fatal mistake

Always looking for reloading componets

I know a beaver or two, because I've seen a beaver or two

Go with the fiberglass one there a little pricey, but I had my wooden packbasket blow out on me this year and wasnt fun gathering/carrying my stuff out.

If doing alot of walking the fiber tuff one's can't be beat. Check the mn. supply banner out for them.

I kinda like the "biting", "harsh, abusive nature" of my 5 gallon buckets. Puts hair on my chest, even though they are turning grey.......sissies

id go with the fiber too ... have went thru a few wooden ones .... id also get one with the bait/lure container built on .... then get the x-tra urine, lure, bait holders to go on the strap .... i use a wooden and a fiber on my line .... along with 5 gallon buckets .... depending on the stop .... the wooden is mainly used for snaring and has everything needed in it .... the fiber is used when packin in for land and water .... the buckets are for short trips and dry dirt

I have been thinking about getting one also, but I am wondering how does the fibertuff do for carrying things like beaver out of the woods?

Water - get a fibertuff
Dirt trapping - get an Indian belly basket from John Epler fur co. Nicest production wooden basket on the market. Eurothane it 4 or 5 times and air it out all summer and it will hold up through mud and snow. As with all wooden baskets ya got to treat it with respect or it's kinlin!

Has anyone seen a green and black plastic woven (like wood ones) pack basket. Maybe came from Maine?
