Do these work on the larger (~4 ft) snakes?

The glue types do very nicely as long as they are still viable.

Bob, what do you mean still viable, like still sticky?

Is snake lure effective or can the trap be used without?

Thanks,

LA, I already have two of the smaller ones, and just ordered the big one. Did see the threads, thanks. p.s. customer's husband just called. He said his wife was frantic after seeing the snake, but that he could handle it so he saved me a trip.

Yes that is what I meant, remaining sticky enough to hold a large snake without it escaping.

Here are a few doubles of black rat snakes taken during the copulation period. Note the small center wood inserts used on each side of the trap to keep the trap from collapsing during long term use. These card board type traps tend to have some memory in the folds causes them to close over time and once they touch they are done.

I like these:

http://www.floridawildlifecontrol.com/snake-money.html

Bought 10 of them a couple months ago, and find they hold up well in all weather. They are made from the plastic material like the yard signs (corrugated).

However, I do not spray any snake repellents as shown on the link. The traps work great in garages, attics, and even outside along foundations or other natural edges.
