Just seal it good, tape the lid on and wrap in a few plastic bags. Use a glass bottle of course and package it so it won't get broken.

I've never used a vacuum bag but I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Layers of plastic hold in the smell enough to make it tollerable for the mailman. lol I've recieved some with the lid waxed as well, just dip the top in melted parafin.

someone told me to vacuum seal it. also if it's not a lot, pack dry dirt around it..... ??? idk 'bout that one.

this winter someone ordered some magnum marten at my post office.
Holy crapola, the whole place reeked of skunk, which didn't bother me, but I hung out a while to watch all the people gag, seems it took them a few days to pick it up.. I loved it.

I seal the lid on my jar with wax. Then put it in a ziplock full of dirt. Put inside another ziplock. Then wrapped in several layers of newpaper. Then put in a small box. Overkill?,,maybe but I have never gotten a complaint.

Did'nt see one here that would get by my Postmaster.
1- put in glass with metal lid
2-seal lid by dipping in hot wax
3-put in paint can
4-fill the paint up with gruond coffee. The coffee will act a shock asorber.And a oder eater.
5-pack in cardboard box and ship.

Another tip as stated already is packing in a hammer on lid old paint can with sawdust as packing (cedar chips are best as such is used in pet cages for bedding) it is a very good packing and odor absorbing material. I have quarts and gallons shipped to me with virtually no odor at all when packed this way. Some shipped in plastic buckets no odor at all when packed in vacuum bags and sealed in cedar saw dust or chips as packing material. It is also much lighter then dirt. That will certainly increase the cost of shipping for the seller or the buyer.

Vacuum sealing is a definitly a plus in controlling odors as long as the bottle is clean before packing and sealing.

Newt has it down. I use dry dirt instead of coffee but the paint can trick works great.
