I caught a badger last year in one of my culvert sets. They just tear the crap out of your set. It took me 20 minutes to remake my set.

Do you always leave the snare so exposed ? Or try to break out the outline with some blades of grass ?

Im trying to catcha badger in my neighbors yard. Set three dirt holes (badger dug not I) and today had a snapped victor number 2 today and a nice pile of dirt over the hole. My chains are too short and will be swapping them tomorrow. Im new to the dirt hole foot hold scene. How should I set it up? He has no dogs.

We have fresh snow....and I've seen coyote tracks stop and do a complete 180 on the edge of badger catch circles.

Suppose there are lots of factors as to why. I thought they would be money makers.

I don't remake it it I set it for coyote. I put in a flat set or a pocket set right in the middle of the mess. Just caught a coyote this way last week.

Badgers do, in many instances, make an "attractive mess" that will be checked out by every predator !

My badger made a huge mess, dug one heck of a trench. When I shot him he [Please excuse my language... I'm an idiot] down the dirt mound. I figured it would make a great yote set so I re set the trap just below the urine. But it rained for two days straight since then. So I'm guessing all the scents gone. How would you guys re set for fox? (There are plenty of fox in the area, not much coyotes)

Guess I'm curious why you did that ?

No badger would be prime when you were hunting squirrels in Michigan !
