I was looking on the Minnesota Trapline Products website and saw they listed a Green English fleshing knife. It looks like a decent knife from the description but in my limited experience I haven't heard of it before. Has anyone on here tried it? How did it compare to others? I am planning on upgrading from the cheapy one I've got, but can't decide whether to try this or go for the Necker 600. I'll be working almost all raccoon, with a few beavers and coyotes. All input would be appreciated.

Any more opinions? I acknowledge the Sheffield is a highly regarded knife, but is out of the price range I can put into a fleshing knife at this point.

The Necker is a great Knife just needs a little sharpening when new. This will make you a great knife. They've worked great for me and several other guys I know for years.

You don't need a Sheffield knife for Raccoons, but I really like it for Beaver down the middle of the back. I like the Grizzle Getter for around the neck and face of Beavers.

The Post Fleshing knife is the best one I have gotten for the money spent. It maintains an edge and cut through the kneck grizzle on a boar coon like a knife thru butter. The back side is stiff and works great on the rest of the hide. Tom
