I finally had the time to set down and open the contestant envelopes. We had better participation this year. Good to have the Alaska crew join us , I think ! wink

Still a very poor showing from the Cheese Head crowd.

Skunkwrestler would get the prize for being prompt as I believe his Envelope hit first.

Steve H from Canada would get the prize for most creative packaging as I got an 8" x 10" glossy of our target. grin

Here are this years Entrants in the Adult division -

Skunkwrestler
2poor
Rob906
Doogie
Crazyweasel
Brownie77
Bender
Akntrpr
Northwind
Steve H
Jack Pine Savage
Weasel Hunter
Stinkey
DrakeJ
Wheelers

Here is the Youth contestants-
Donnie
Alex
BanditBuster
Skunk24
CoonBuster
HomerTrapper
Hannah
Brady

We raised $83 for the T-man Discretionary Fund with the entrant fee. I thank all that chose to participate.
I will touch base with the committee and structure the prize packages in the coming weeks. Remember we will have 3 places in each Division and 1 random drawing from all entrants who submit a pelt.

Asa Lenon, Wheelers, Bob Jameson, DrakeJ, Melby Fur and Moose River Lures have offered up some prizes. Last years 2nd place Youth winner Brady also donated some traps this summer. I expect the prize pool will continue to grow as I intend to twist a couple arms.

I believe we will trap until early February and ask Pelts be turned in for measurement by February 15 to Judge Bogmaster.

Any questions or concerns let me know,

Good Luck to all and let's have some fun this Winter and thanks for your support !

There are a couple Iowans that have it figured out.

They may have to work a little harder at it, but they are making catches.

Big T lives in a Weasel wonderland. Super habitat there at the Lakes !

Aye, I am still a novice trapper but am learning LOTS each year. After freeze up this year was very boring. I had to find something to do. After reading all of you weasel guys info I think I am going to give it a try! I will be over prepared next year and see what happens!!

I had several ask if there was a deadline to enter. I had asked all envelopes were post marked by December 15. Hate to have somebody trap a large Weasel and then decide to compete.

Be similar to shooting a deer and then buying a license. Well maybe not exactly the same, but similar.

Received several more Donations for the Contest prizes yesterday. Both DrakeJ and crazyweasel came through.

Sounds like we also have a unique Custom weasel scalpel set in route as a Prize. I will Post pictures when it arrives.

A very nice custom made wood box with 2 surgical scalpels and a bunch of replaceable blades included.

The scalpel set inside comes from my brother in law thats a surgeon,he says when they start a surgery they start with a whole set of handles and blades and toss it all after the jobs done. When i said i wanted some he gave me a bucket of em

Dang and I can't get them across the boarder to get into the contest. Very nice contribution.
The winner will have some good tail splitters to use.

Too many problems with paying all the different Provincial royalities and the permits etc and paper work.
Anyway once those Alaska entrys come in there is no hope in winning from any Minn trapperz now.

I shall probably see it once it gets it Canadian citizenship's papers in line come May. It is obvious that no Alaska weasels have made it down to you yet.
