Me and somebody else called the DNR and are now on their nuscience(spelling?) animal list, which would probably be for problem coyotes, skunks, and beavers, and was wondering what you guys would charge for this (if anything)? The DNR guy is going to give us a permit if we need to get some animals out of somewhere (like the animals I mentioned above), so we will be legal, but I am wondering what you would charge for this, since it will not be a full time job, just something done before my dad goes to work, but I would think you should charge something for it since it will use time, gas, supplies, etc to get this done. I am also wondering if maybe we should be removing the animals for free, in exchange for trapping ground in the fall, but what I am mainly wondering on is if we wouldent get anything in exchange, what the price should be for each of these animals, set up, gas, etc. Please post any info you have on this. Thanks

There are many threads on this ADC forum about pricing.... best to use the search option and check them out. Pricing varies by region. Keep in mind.... doing anything for "money" is considered a commercial business, so liability insurance is highly suggested. Costs will reflect your insurance, equipment, fuel/maintenance costs, TIME, advertising, taxes, legal fees, and a number of additional costs associated with operating a business. Every state has different regulations, so it's real important to be familiar with every aspect of doing this type of work. Your recurring costs (insurance, ads, etc) will never stop, so your pricing structure needs to reflect those costs. Doing it part-time will make those insurance payments a major factor. The bills will continue to show up in the mailbox even if you're not getting any calls. Something to think about.

165.00 to show up unless its over 50 miles then at least 189.00 and commercial accounts are 199.00. That is about the same for me here. $60-90 to check and reset traps per trip. I don't charge a per animal fee. I charge for my time, & amount of traps used . My time is precious and being from Florida fur trapping rights never made sense to me. I mean if prime coons are going so cheaply these days imagine what a Florida fur would bring in. The only exception was few years back for our nearly blond otter pelts.
