I was wondering how some of you go about prepareing and storing traps for next season. Is there a way to get 'em ready for next season and store them so you can pull em out and set them???

I store mine in rubbermaid containers and pull them out in August to prep for the season. The ones that need some serious tweaking done to them are left out and I work on them throughout the spring and summer.

I used to wax and dye as soon as the seaon was over then put them in containers filled with cedar shavings or pine needles. But always found something I forgot to do with them when I pulled them out for the season.

Im doing like snakebite does,With one exception, I am putting my canine traps in ziploc bags with pine shavings, one trap per bag. Dont know if it will help but they are my toys and thats how I want to play with them. Seriously, Im going to try and be extra scent concious next season. Im my shop where I keep all my traps they are exposed to diese and gasoline fumes all through the summer.
