Here are the plans to build a simple and effective fleshing beam:
The picture of mine are a 6 foot long planed 2x6 bought from andwhere that sells lumber. You could aslo just use a log from a tree, 2x4, etc. Try to get a piece of wood as straight as possible and fewest knots as possible. I then used a paint can to trace the rounded part at the front. From their i just cut it (with a handsaw) as close to a smooth curve as i could. I then rasped the edges (could also use belt sander, etc.) to a smooth downward curve. Then all you have to do is sand it smooth. I went from 60 down in sandpaper. Here are som pics.

looks nice, I wish I had a planer or belt sander

I survived the death clutch of Boss Hog, and am now here for my 3rd tour of duty on Tman

I built a new beam last night too!

I am fleshing in the 12x12 shed now so this beam has to fold up.

I used a 1/2 log and took a draw knife and shaped it. Then evened it out with a planer.

I attached it to the fur shed wall with a big hinge, so it folds up. The front legs come off.
