have not done this in few years,some of the boards are older,anyone know if really necessary to power wash greasy old coon boards?

I never worried about it. Heck, the coon grease is about as good a natural preservative as you can get.

imo i'd think all you'd need to do is squeegee them with one of those windo tint film aplicators. that coon grease would help them not soak up humidity and warp and crack and such.

if they have alot of coon grease in them you can rub them down with some real fine saw dust. like the stuff from you sander bag, it will draw alot of the grease out of them. i now put 2 coats of sparuthane on my personal use boards. at end of season i just mix up a little grease lightning and some warm water and wipe them down,bundle them up in dozen lots and put upstairs of the shed till next year. boards done up like this will last many many years
