I've been experimenting with sac oil for those hard to catch beaver. I've just been squeezing it into a small plastic bottle and keeping it in my shop on the bench. How long will it keep and under what conditions? Thanks for any advice,Ole

I put it in a new glass jar and set it in a dark cool area of the barn. May have it for a couple years but rotate it to the lure box as needed. BS

should last indefinitely if sealed well.

You don't even need to freeze it. Just put it in a dark place and it will not go bad. Over time you will see separation. There will be a layer of translucent liquid and a layer of opaque beige colored liquid. When ready for use, simply shake the container and shazzam, its just like the day you milked the oil glands...

Ever separate the 2 Paul? The clear oil that sits at the top is one of the best lure bases I've ever used. It accepts and fuses with most ingredients. Wonderful stuff, just hard to get enough for commercial production purposes.

Seal it in glass, Not plastic.
The odor will seep out of plastic, but will
hold up in glass.
