The quick way to distinguish fox or coyote tracks from dog tracks is this; fox or coyote tracks in the sand, mud or snow are most always just calmly walking along in a straight line with their toe nail markings showing while a dog is tearing around excitedly all over the place. Think about it a minute, when one lets his dog out of the truck he is running and racing around in circles. Ace

Asa is right. Wild canine tracks usually line up in a straight line while domestic dog tracks are all over the place.

coyote tracks tend to be slender in looks, toes will be together, it will look like two animals coyote front feet are bigger than the back ones, always walk in straight lines
dog tracks are widder ,toes usely spread apart, foot prints will appear offset(where the term dog tracking comes from)very sleldom walk straight lines
fox tracks are similar to coyote tracks but will not be as far apart and smaller than coyotes

$20.00 trap, a $1.00 stake, probably $1.00 in pan cover, bait, urine, and lure, Not to mention gas etc. All for a $10.00 coyote.Priceless!!!!!
