In Georgia we can't get by with a pellet or air rifle as a carry gun on the line. Our law requires that we carry a .22 rimfire.
Adios,

RUGERS- all the way
Bearcat somedays - Sgl 6 others
backup is a 4 5/8" Blackhawk .41 Mag for crackheads
The whole county knows when I drop the hammer on a handloaded .41

.22 mossberg rifle or HnR 9 shot revolver in .22

that thing is so inaccurate about all you can use it for is dispatch

what you do today you got to sleep with tonight

Smith & Wesson Model 63 4" stainless .22, I don't leave home without it....

Short, light , accurate, rustproof, totally reliable, and choice of CBs, shorts, or long rifle shells. Worth every penny, and my grandkids will like it some day.

On the trapline I carry a stainless ruger bearcat - using 22 Remington subsonics or CCI subsonics. It does a pretty good job and it is nice light to carry. Usually keep it on the 4 wheeler till I need it.

Buzz, I keep 'em about 1/2 grain under max.
Shot clean thru 3 elk and 2 Black bears w/ my 6 1/2" .41.
That's big enuf 4 me.
But, then again, the new .480 Ruger sounds interesting.
My little girl could shoot the lever gun using the same ammo

Winchester model 60A, hoping to buy a revolver (.22) one of these days.

Check the archives, it's probably there!

Ruger Single Six - stainless , I often have another gun in the truck or person. 40 S&W, SP-101 357, 44 Redhawk/4X Scope if deer are legal. Depends on my mood !

Seldom use a gun for dispatch but you never know. I always carry !

I used to carry a .22 rifle but I have upgraded to a lighter H&R model 922 9 shot revolver. Specificly for dispatch and or plinking on my line. ~Dan~
