I used pepermint oil on the marshmellows that I put in my lil griz's and I thought it worked well. Seemed to smell longer than fish oil and the coons liked it.

I tried a commercial "vaseline" base that was mostly peppermint. Didn't catch a single coon on it. IMO it is no good at all in my neck of the woods. We have plenty of wild peppermint and spearmint growing.....so maybe there is no attraction. Don't know why....but I won't waste my time with it.

What ever bait your using for Coon.It wont work year round. Some times they wont come to bait. But will work Gland lure. Most of the year they dont want nothing to do with gland lure.
You have to know the habbits of the animal your trying to trap.
