A head's up for any Alaskans shoot the .450 Marlin.

Marlin has dropped the .450 Marlin from their 2011 catalog. Only Browning has a rifle that is chambered in the .450 Marlin. Might want to stock up on .450 ammo if Browning drops the .450 from their line up.

not surprized , the .450 marlin wasn't a good idea from the get go .

sales of the guide guns in 45/70 have much higher, being the die hard classic cartridge it is hard to compeat against.

I watched a dude take a shot at a deer on a typical rainy SE AK day. I wasn't impressed with the tumbling vapor trail that clearly missed it's mark.

Just bought a bunch of foam for building snowmobile seats. Going to build storage compartment seats for my bravo and 340 polaris. Anyways wanted to let you know that all foam is 50% off at JoAnn's fabric in Anchorage if you need foam for seat cushion of any kind. 5 inch foam 2 ft wide was $89 a yard. Now half that.

Good price on the foam. Just bought some to redo our dining room set chairs.

If you are shipping to one of the auctions or selling to a buyer that ships to the auction leave the front legs in on all fur that is turned fur side out. Lynx, coyote, fox, & marten. On wolves and wolverine you can turn them out or leave them in. When out on wolverine and wolves it is easier for the taxi market to see a completed job.

Do not turn otter, mink, muskrats, squirrels, or ermine.

Lynx are graded mostly by the belly fur for clarity and quality. The front legs left in makes a far better presentation. The primary reason for tucking in to prevent damage, specially in the drumming process. Front legs can tear easily in handling or drumming.

so, was that a ground set, and he ended up that way?

Or was that a marten set he got caught in?
