Years ago in the boy scouts my troupe leader showed me these I belive they were called hog roots or hog nuts. They were basicly a small plant that grew along the walking trails and like a p-nut you pulled them by the base and there was a small shell with u nut in it. Any help would be great. Thanks Big Joe.
