As someone who hasn't dug it.What is the best way to wash and dry it?Looks like it would be hard to get washed compared to ginseng.

Not hard at all. Just spray it off the a water hose ( on good pressure) pick out the odd root and dry.

Be sure you get all or close to all the dirt out of it, nobody wants to buy dirt anymore. Dirty Goldenseal is almost impossible to sell. If it is grey from dirt, when it dries, it is to dirty. If it has hunks of dried dirt left in the root balls, it is to dirty.

I PUT MINE IN A FIVE GALLON BUCKET FOR A HOUR THEN WASH IT WITH HOSE IT MAKES IT A LOT EASIER TO CLEAN.
