I have been using one in my truck since 2000 or so. I now have a printer as well so I can just print out contracts and stop by notes and invoices for my customers, while on location.

When I travel I hook a GPS up to it and take off, I can get directions on the fly, and if you check out the Dept of Transportation websites for any state you are driving through you can get detailed information down to the hour of where all of the road construction is and how to get around it. Saves a lot of time, when traveling through an area you are not very familiar with.

Plus that green dot on the map that is me is just cool to see moving as I drive along... comforting as well because I can see where I am AND where I am going at the same time on the screen, let alone the fact that it will calculate time of arrival based on current speed and fuel cost based on MPG and distance.

Jeff..........An inverter...12 to 120.... they come in all sizes (watts rating) You can plug the small ones into your cig. lighter........bigger one need to be wires to the battery to work at full potential..
......What I did is install a 74 watt solar pannel on the roof of my truck.....wired that to a pair of glass mat batteries....and hooked a big inverter to that. This way i can use the system without the possabity of the car battery going dead. I am able to run drills, saws, lights and even the coffee pot..... \:\)

Yeah what he said only I do not use solar power.

I believe that should be reserved for sun bathing ladies.
I mean if we use up all of the sun will they stop wearing bikini's?

It was a very cost effective way for me starting up to be able to reproduce the differnt forms I wanted as a start up with out incuring the cost of carbon duplicate printing of say 8-10 differnt things, for a carbon or copy of the contracts or bids I give them a color copy.

I like it. and if you do not use all of the solar power we might conserve enough to keep the beuties bathing in the sun.

How delicate are those panels? Could a stick falling from a tree damage the panel?
