Sounds simple enough A. When I think of these posts I get a picture in my head of something on my own line. This picture was not a hole set but a flat set with full flat wide open flat ground.
Some spots just produce and I hate to alter the set. Many times a set a few yards away just sits there. (why I donno)

I use peat, but in the blown bed I want to reuse, waxed dirt and/or waxed sand helps me.

I have used extension chains to get out of the burn in the past but that's extra dinking around.
Face it, winter is tough sometimes but hey, the leather is "prime" grin

If we get a bs sesion this June, bring up the winter drag topic. I'd like that.

As far as corrosion with salt or cal chlor, yes it's a problem that I avoid by not using it.
I helped CB do a bunch of traps that had soaked in it and many got new springs and all got the bench wire wheel. I wont use it, and don't miss the wet trap bed that comes with it. Many do and it works for them though.

I've just heard over and over that "You can't do this, you can't do that with peat moss". Sure you can.

Nowadays it just don't pay to be a good 'ol boy.

This is interesting and a nice tool to have in ones back pocket. My concern is the salt, it's rather hard in traps right? Could a guy just spray some glycerin down in place of salt??

Be kind whenever possible.....It is always possible.
