Not one to leave things well enough alone, I camo'd my new .22 mag. Just a quicky with Krylon, but it looks about like I wanted it to...

That's one of our bearded dragons in the bottom left of the first pic (in case you were wondering). He's out patrolling.

Looks good.

The deer have begun crashing here. We found 3 dead ones right nearby the hatchery. I have been seeing them every day up until about a week ago and feared the worst......I would expect to see a lower limit on the deer next season. Not good one bit.

That's too bad Hank. I'm still finding fresh dead ones too, but the weather has moderated a little. The snow is real soft since the warm up and still thigh deep in the drainages and north slopes which seems to be enough to finish off the weakest ones. A few more weeks without a new snow storm would save a bunch. The eagles are eating well.

These ones we had been watching weren't traveling far either. Most times they were sleeping right on the beach. 2 of them died a while ago but the third was fairly fresh. The meat is still red. Should be lots of critters around next year with all the food they will be getting.

I watched a fresh one last week for about an hour hoping to catch a fox working it but didn't get lucky. A half dozen eagles and a dozen or so magpies and ravens were having a feast though. The foxes here should have some nice big litters. Bear season just opened and it shouldn't be too long before at least some come down to feed- even with the deep snow pack.

More sad news, but at least the family will be able to lay her to rest properly...

Bad bad deal. I saw the signs all over anchorage that they were talking about.

That's too bad. I was really hoping she was alive somewhere.

Sorry Jeff, I missed the 'bought' part. Still beautiful animals. That's a bearded dragon (Sparky). We have two of them, one male ad one female. We take out of their tank and put them in front of the sliding glass door on warm days to catch some rays. Once they warm up they like to check things out around the house. Sparky is the traveler of the two. He gets into about everything. The other one Lenny (named after Lenny Kravits when we thought it was a he) is older and doesn't run around as much Both are real mellow and get along well with the cats and dog. We have a half dozen different snakes, scorpions, fish, all kinds of critters...lol!

"Snakes...why'd it have to be snakes." Shudder. I've played with garters SNAKES to show off, but really, when it crawled on my skin, my skin did crawl.

It probably only happens when he wears them.
