anyone have any ideas of what type of rodent this is?

I am thinking it is a white footed mouse but not sure....
juvenile rat?

Looks like a three footed rat . A young one , full grown there 3' long . There spreading around here in the north . Not sure . It's a rat fore sure , ears are to big for a Norway . It's got a rat tail

I believe it's a deer mouse. Large eyes and ears as well as white feet and underbelly are characteristic of them.

Wouldn't a deer mouse have a bi-colored tail?
This is an odd little guy. The big feet, big tail and big ears lead me to think it's some kind of malnourishment/deformation situation.

Your initial guess was correct. White-footed deer mouse. Its old, that's why the ears are so long. I'm told they're very territorial and aggressive ~ unless they're dead.
