anyone have any ideas of what type of rodent this is? I am thinking it is a white footed mouse but not sure.... juvenile rat?

Juvenile Norway Rat Rattus norvegicus? I was also thinking that but the long ears really didnt make sense..

I believe it's a deer mouse. Large eyes and ears as well as white feet and underbelly are characteristic of them.

Wouldn't a deer mouse have a bi-colored tail? This is an odd little guy. The big feet, big tail and big ears lead me to think it's some kind of malnourishment/deformation situation.

Your initial guess was correct. White-footed deer mouse. Its old, that's why the ears are so long. I'm told they're very territorial and aggressive ~ unless they're dead.
