I looked at this job 4 months ago. All this time PPE's were done, had to get clearance from the corporation and police. Every stone was turned over that had safety written on it. All this time the cattails were growing. Now I can't see a rat to shoot. We did blast one last night. There safety plan really restricts me from shooting also. (I have to shoot from taped off boxes). Looks like we will be trapping after all! lol I learned alot and have a VERY good environmental contractor I Will be working for on future jobs.

Float a log out in the middle and give them something to climb up on . Put some bait on it . Just put a rope on each end so you can pull in and out . Thanks for sharing

I told you that in the beginning that trapping was the only option , but now your rep is on the line as a sharp shooter . You can't just give up . Just give a reason to show them selfs . A floating brush pile . They love to chew on stuff

Bob I was going to post that's a perfect example of common sense being over run by safety regulations. I'v had heavy industrial sights ask for critter help and all of them have safety regulations that prohibit me from doing my job effeciently, so I priced accordingly but then they didn't like the price. That included sitting in one of their all day classes on "safety" and they didn't want to pay me for it.

WAIT! I just noticed something in that photo, no safety glasses. What's up with that? Industrial sight that requires a hard hat and a shooting box and no glasses? And shooting without glasses and hearing protection? Where's OSHA?

Salys, I think there's a safety regulation that states " When fenced in by pretty pink tape, no safety glasses are required."

Treeing walker dog . Best breed hands down for coons . I had one that would strike coon doing 55 mpr out of the back of the truck . I haven't coon hunted in years and still miss it . Someday I'll get me a new pup dog and get him on some good coon ground .
