Now I save some time and my back. It works get for me especially out of a boat. It's about 4' long 3/4 black pipe with a T on one end and cap of with 3" extension. Got 2 heavy duty hooks so I can hook on the double swivel or rings. Using leverage it yanks them bugger right out of there. If you got stubborn one. Like stuck in clay. You can stick the driver in the end for extra leverage. I trap in muddy areas so I pogo deep especailly for these big butted beaver and the peed off otters.

Oughta work fine looks like . I drive mine in deep mud with a Pogo Driver I added to with 1/2 in cold rolled . To drive em in I have a sliding handle I made of 3/16 flat bar about 8 in long . Drill a 1/2 in hole and it will bind if pushed on an angle . That way you aren't trying to push a 10 foot rod all from the top . ;\)

Alan without that, you would look like me when ya get to 50. You notice How I ask the kids ya bring over to stoop over and pick up all the piles of fur. My back has had to many yrs. of manhandling stakes and pushing scraping knives and pulling hoop nets and gill nets.
Think of all the easy things you can do to save your back, my friend, work smart not hard.

I would say it is from being dumb that I learned thins the hard way. At one time I was proud to show how i could pick just about anything up. Now I wished I had been a smarter fella , when i was young, and built the sorta things you are building.

How long is it, Drifter? That sounds like just the thing for setting the deep side of a drowner from a boat. I guess it could be any length, right?
Great Idea!

Alan, I'm done with that stuff. Took me 3 days to get my back straightened out. Besides, I wouldn't won't you to bend up your cowboy hat and have to buy you a new one. ;\)

Good job on the POGO remover.

Let's see If I Have To Grunt more than twice. I'm cutting my hardware off the pogo and leave the dang washer. Let's keep it real.

How long should one of these be? I was thinking about making one out of Angle Iron with a Chain hook welded on.

How long?

How far up should I weld the hook from the bottom?

I'll be welding a second piece of angle iron on the bottom to make a "T".

Finally what is the smallest size Angle Iron I could use and still pull Pogo's.

Any length I guess. Size it up to your hiegth for good leverage.

I put my hooks in two location one about 15" from end for flat ground and one about 2' from for river bank leverage.

Has far as angle your guess is as good as mine. I would use 1" x 1/4 angle.

Anything bigger defeats the purpose. You make it to heavy duty you waste time because if It Take more force to than that. You going to have a bent up washer and all that effort put in a j-hook and a foot of cable in my book not worth it.

Do you mean jack.

If so my answer is "not" You have several pieces and bulk and time. Myself this is the simpliest thing I can up with for the way I trap. Time and room I have none. In and out. Catch what I can in three days and move to new territory. Repeat
