Anyone have plans to make one of these? I can't seem to find plans any where. I have a bad skunk problem at my house and would like to make one due to the fact that last time I caught a skunk he spooked and sprayed my door to the basement wood storage and caused the inside of the house to smell for a
bout a week.

I don't think these are spray proof, they are just solid to prevent spooking them.

Cover the trap before you set it. Or just buy a trap wrap

They are, skunk can't raise their tail inside, so they don't spray. Made me a lot of money in ADC work. Can't help with the plans since I bought mine from the Snare shop and MTP.

Basically all you need is a triggering system and a door. Don't over think the triggers, all they need to do is hold open the door until the skunk hits the trigger. Here's what I do on cages, let me think on the PVC for a minute, bet I can come up with a simple design for them...

F@T says they are 6" PVC and 24" long. You could cap one end easy then build and bolt on a frame just like the one in my cage video. Use a solid door and just a rod from the pan inside to hold up the door until they step on it or push on the rod. Very simple.

Should get it from MT's post above. wink

Hate to bust your bubble. But a skunk can spray without rasing its tail.

i made mine almost identical to monster toms, but i used ventilated doors towards the end. a skunk in a trap that small and thick gets heated up fast!

i prefer the plastic catch traps pictured above for one reason. i can simply stand the trap up, open the door, and inject the skunk right there

women like me because I rarely wear underwear, and when I do it's usually unusual.
