What do you fine to be the best bait for live traping a porcupines? I have used salted apples in the past.

We used to catch them on sweet raccoon baits in cages, dirt hole sets too.

Of course a Michigan deer stand complete with propane heater is the best bait I know if you are industrious.

Lol!

If you have good trails, trails sets blind work great with a 1 1/2 coil spring if area is suitable.

Cheetos ..Just joking ! I take a paper plate with a PILE of salt cut up apples, carrots and wire hemlock branches to the back of the cage as a visual and aroma attractant ...let half the plate sit right on top the pan...

did you learn that from me??? whistle thats exactly what i do... but also a lot of fencing to force them into the trap. it works.. but quill pigs are a pain.
