Folks,

I have seen companies that we buy from praised, criticized and a variety of things in between. I'd like to make a statement for Bird Barrier, my preferred
supplier since we launched two years ago. I would say that if you have negative things to offer, email the company, call them, etc.... As has been stated on other supplier threads, it is easy to post here, but won't often help the company know if there are issues, that takes direct feedback from buyers.

Living in NM I am just a short distance from the Carson, CA bird barrier office and therefore my orders fedex ground are generally here within 2-3 days max and most ship the same day I order if I don't have too many custom nets or order later in the day.

As a wildlife biologist who knew about bird exclusion but never practiced it in my former life, I had questions along the way, some were answered by my colleagues in the industry, while others I asked the company. They have always been there willing to visit on the phone, exchange emails, I've even had them answer my calls during off hours when I know they are closed.

Anyone doing bird exclusion knows there are several companies to buy from and most have the same exact set of products with different names or slightly different construction, so to me you end up needing to choose based on the customer service you get and the overall interaction with the company.

The folks at Bird Barrier have always taken care of me, if I was missing something in an order, they got it to me asap! If I forgot something I needed to order they helped me get it here quickly. If I had problems with a piece of equipment or install tool, they worked with me to sort out the issue and get me on track.

I talk to these folks weekly for orders and ideas and just wanted to say to anyone reading, they are worth trying for your bird control needs. I know that many folks buy from Alan and he carries the Bird Barrier line as well at WCS.

I'm always learning new things that help me not only provide better bids, but provide more effective exclusion and they have helped in that evolution.

So this is a positive statement, meant to just say, my hats off to these folks, I have tried others and I have not received the same feeling with them and will be sticking with and helping them to support and improve their company as they support and improve mine.

I have worked with a few companies over the years including the one you mentioned and have had good service and good advice from all in my experience. Those that complain alot about suppliers are many times just complainers by nature so take that for face value.Just the nature of operating any business to have a few that just cant be pleased.

I have dealt with hundreds of suppliers over the years and cant remember one that stands out as one I would not do business with again.I am sure most businesses will make things right if there was a legitimate problem. With freight damage and forgotten items not packed in an order that is just things that can and do happen at times. If this happens when a job is on a time line this sort of thing can make folks cranky no doubt. Just order allowing adequate time for such occurances that could happen is always a good policy.

Well said Bob!

Baxter, also a good point, I haven't developed a taste for pigeon though so I stick with the exclusion products!
