on the trap line it's either my shovel or my tomahawk. both come in real handy.

HAMMER!!!! Always a HAMMER!..lol
When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

Leatherman Surge hands down. I would struggle in life without it.

Side cutters. I use wire for my drowners. I can drive a stake with a rock or a club, but I can't cut wire with my teeth. My multi tool gets a workout, I use it at least once every day. Other than that, one of the most versatile tools I use is vicegrips.
It takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile, but only 3 for a proper trigger squeeze.

On the trapline, a heavy 3 pound hammer. Without that I wouldn't be able to get in hardly any stakes with all this limestone.

Left to right: A set of 9" Kleins A 10" Klein Screwdriver A 6" fixed blade knife If I had to pick one, give me the Kleins, If I can get the cutters around it, I can get it cut. If it can't be done with these three tools it dosn't need done right now.

On the trapline it's my stick(heavy shovel handle) with a hook in one end. I use it to find traps underwater, set a conibear off if I'm going to move it, test water depth, and if I shove it in the bank vertically it gives me something to grip onto to help pull myself up.
Check the archives, it's probably there!
