I've got three coons and a red in the freezer, skinned and in plastic bags. All are rolled up, fur side out. I wait till I have several to do then I put up. My question is all have alittle blood on the fur, now that they are skinned can someone give me the steps i need to take to get the blood out. I know I can wash 'em, just just need the order i need to do it in.

wash, dry, flesh, and board
or
flesh, wash, dry, and board

Any help would be appriciated

Thanks
Matt

Good question. I think it's wash comb dry comb flesh board. Is it a good idea to wash fox? Can you get the blood off with a damp sponge?

I started washing the fur last year and believe it has positive results. I have washed before and after and i think washing before skinning turns out better. Some people I read about throw it in the washing machine after they are done. If the blood is dry you may have to use some peroxide to get it out.
