Ya they got boat launches all kinds of things closed even refuges just before they make money weird . I guess you get to trap it for free this year

What Kasey is talking about is muskrat trapping on Horicon Marsh. The marsh is divided into sections and trappers bid on the sections. I can imagine after last year's rat prices that the good sections will cost you thousands.

They buyers used to wait at the landings and buy the whole 'rat dripping wet. All you had to do was tend traps and there is no limit on the number of traps you can use. I know when some trappers got all their traps out, they'd start checking them right away.

I would imagine last year's drought could make muskrats a lot more scarce than normal but who knows? They usually print the report after the season closes and it's fun to read. I'll let you guys know if it's interesting.

They shut down the grand Canyon I'm sure that's got hurt hard for a lot good people of this country .
