My brother Bob, son Matt and I put up some rats yesterday using our new hanging system. It is working out well for us. Here are some pictures of system along with some other fur that all of us have trapped this season. Still have more rats to put up. We skinned the coon in the pictures but had the coons fleshed and boarded by someone else.

Can you please show some close up details of the rail and clips that the rats on boards are on? Thanks.

Say you wanted to take one down from the middle for some reason could you just take that one down or would you have to slide a bunch of them off to get to the one you wanted?

Just slightly lift up and turn board and they come out of track.

that has to be photo shopped. no trapper can be that clean and organized.

I'm not a real trapper, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Alright ! Someone has to say it! No one's fur shed should be that clean!
You, sir, are going to cause the rest of us a lot of grief with our "significant others " if those pics I public!

Used in commercial and industrial heating, plumbing and electrical applications most often to support pipes/conduit or duct work. Can be purchased at supply companies like Fastenal. You can find shorter lengths of uni-strut at hardware stores but it costs more per foot and you may want a 10' or 20' length to span one end of your fur shed ceiling to the other.

I can not claim the garage, it is my brother's garage. Menards has the 10 foot sections of Unistrut. I would think that Home Depot has them also.

That's exactly what I thought. I am jealous. I spend half a day on my fur shed Sunday cleaning and organizing. Found a few missing items, got rid of 8# of dust and trash, moved piles from one side to the other. Still looks like a bomb went off.

Unistrut clamps. They come in two halves with a bolt and nut. They come in a lot of different sizes for various pipe diameters.

Pay close attention when buying uni strut. There is a junior strut that is only half as deep as regular uni strut. It would be harder to remove one board from the middle, without sliding them all out. I would say the deepest like the one pictured would be the best for this application. Lowes hear has it as well as any electrical parts houses. This is a great idea thanks for the post. Youve really got my wheels turning now on different uses.

It is what it is.

Thats what I was thinking. Good heavens, I can't even take my reading glasses off without dropping something on the front of my shirt, or causing a dust bunny to form.

I googled and found this place. Would make them about .55 per board.

How much do you have to twist the boards in order for them to come out of the track?

LOL at the maybe read the thread instead of one post in the thread!....who would have thought of that!?

I've seen this before and it is a great way to hang boards. The only thing I don't like about it is losing the flat end of the board. I like the board standing up "pinched" between two 2 x 4s while I board and pin the pelt. Maybe you could use a nylock nut and don't over tighten so you could rotate the strap around out of the way. Maybe a washer between the strap and board would be all you need. That should stand the strap off the board far enough to also be able to rotate it without tearing up the board.

Or just take a router or something and dig down into your workbench so that theres a deep groove for it to sit in, that's my plan anyhow
