Short of beaver, does anyone know anyplace online that sells patterns for, or just has freebie patterns for different wood (or wire) stretchers?

exactly what i was looking for

any reason basic plywood wouldn't work if it was sanded and the edges were rounded over?

Are wire stretchers going to be the same size as well?

Wire stretchers vary a lot so I've heard.

Do you think a guy could make some out of plywood for the furs that are dies fur-in? (like coon, seeing as the oily hide wont touch the board)

I made some and the worked OK, but I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone. Good stretchers are cheep enough to make them a much better choice when all is said and done. Time to make plywood stretchers and then the extra time and hassle required for plywood also makes basswood stretchers a much better choice.
