The picture of the hunting camp log cabin, where did they get the logs or were they all hauled in to build camp?

Thanks guys. Sold all but two of my tanned wolf hides to hunter this year for a nice price. Moyle's called and last seasons fur is finished and in the mail.

RdFx... the logs were hauled in with dogsled from about 6 miles away down by my sheep cabin. The cabin was built in the late 20's by the late Hugo Stomberger. They were some tough men back then. There is also a really neat wood fired steam boiler just down from the cabin that was also hauled up by miners.

smalltimetrapper... I usually shoot the porcupines a couple times to make sure they are really dead and I haul them away from the cabin. I don't do anything with them as for salvage. If I'm heading out or close to the road, I'll haul them out and give one to a native friend of mine who really likes them.

HFT... I am also looking forward to putting a few blacks on the boards this winter. It's been a while....

As always some great stories and excellent photos. That mountain scene, looks like a dawn shot, is outstanding.

I always enjoy the stories and pictures in your journal. At risk of asking something so personal but how did you get to where you are? Did you grow up in the Alaska? What's the back story on you? I'm willing to bet it's as interesting as the stories we all look forward to now.

The pleasure is all mine guys for being able to share my experiences with you all.

Klemke... I got from North Dakota to Fairbanks on an airplane in 1991 when I was 19 years old. In search of bears and adventure and been blessed to find many of both.

Here's a few more pics from the summer.

This is one of my buddy's new experimental SuperDuper Cub (Bipolar Betty) with me and my Rhino. She is a beast. Got to put a lot of miles on my Rhino that I hauled out last spring. They both are truly durable tools for out in this country. Bipolar Betty meet Big Blue my 72 Chevy Couple more bulls that survived the season to breed again

That first photo looks like it should be a painting and hung on a wall! Big Blue looks like quite the bad (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) truck. Thanks for sharing again. Can't wait til your out trapping again. I really enjoy these journals.

Sharon... I always have lots of pics for you to use. Just let me know when and what you are looking for.

white17... That's just snow on the hills behind the bull.

Got the fur back that I didn't sell from Moyle's Tannery. Excellent job again as always. The neighbor girls came over to help me unpack.
