Slap a dirthole right in the sandbar and try a couple of baited pocket sets on either side of the smaller stream.

Are there any trails comming across the sharp point of land in the upper right going back and fourth from the smaller creek to the larger one. That maybe a good spot for a blind set IMHO. Brad
If the only dog you can hear in the hunt is your's, your probably missing the best part of the race.

I would concentrate on the smaller stream. If there is anywhere on it that has obstructions where at least part of the channel is blocked, can you block it off even more yourself and get it narrow enough for a couple 330s- if legal? I did this this year and got 2. Had a large tree down mostly in the water, just moved it a little to block the stream except for 2 spots.
That's pretty much all I have to offer, sorry. Don't have much experience just thought I would share what worked this year.

Take your boot or shovel and make a slide at the ends of the sand bar and slick them up. Set an appropriate size foothold trap on a drowning rig in the water just a few inches deep.
