I agree, I would love to have one done some day but every one I have seen done looks like the cat was starving.

Amen. For every "good" cat mount I see, I see 4-5 pretty sorry ones.

Here are a few quality mounts.

I would love to have that last mount, crazy realistic looking.

If anyone has a copy of the original cat thread downloaded and would be willing to email me a copy please shoot me a pm. If I can get it from someone I will work on getting it into a pdf format and putting it on drop box with a link in this thread for everyone to access. I am trying to catch my first cat and would love to read the original thread if someone has access to it.

Thanks Jackson I will try and get in touch with him.

And how high would you guys recommend setting a snare off the ground for a bobcat? I have read a 6" loop but haven't found much on the height. Is it like a yote approx 10" off the ground?

05,I set them 8" of the ground and an 8" loop. They should be blocked in pretty tight and a twig or weed used as a "chin lifter" helps.Even at that, some will get a front leg through.

Hey guys. Had this idea wondering if ya'll think it would work. I have a few chickens with pine shavings in their coop. Would that chicken poop/pine shaving mixture work as attraction to a dirthole set?

I agree.. A good one looks fantastic, but they seem to be few and far between. I prefer just a tanned hide..

Those ones Lazarus posted look great though.

I'd say that, since it smells like something is living there, a cubby set would be better.

Santa left this one under the tree this morning.

Simple scent post set for a coyote but the kitty was quicker. Backbreaker and alittle urine on the bone. Set blended with grass clippings. (Thanks Lt for that tip).

I do on some. Found a bag of white feathers at wal mart yesterday, in the craft section. If you dont have access to a chicken coup. Be sure and check your local laws about "bait".

Had atom cat in the same trap I caught one in Christmas morning. I believe a coonhunter "dispatched " it for me. 22 cal hole. At least it wasnt a deer hunter.

Hey guys, anyone tried pan covers on coil spring traps? I've been having lots of freezing up trouble.I made some light weight (plastic)pan covers holding them on with paper clips.#2Victors
I glued dirt on each cover now trying to leave them open sets.any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks
