Cooler to good use.

About as straight as I can get it. It has a bend farther up. I moved this the other way to get closer to center.

He plants in kind of a circle. Lol.

Tomahawker is right though. The shortest distance between two spots is a straight line. If it's curvy all the way across your gonna get more seed in.

Short story.

Yesterday I was driving down the road looking far ahead at a tractor coming at me kicking up what I thought was dust. I thought it weird he would be driving in the field at that speed beside the road. As I got closer I saw his bushog was on fire. I stopped and waited on him with a gallon jug of water. It was bigger than I thought. I dumped the water on the deck and grabbed the cooler. No help. 3 plastic pto guards were on fire along with all the grass laying on it. I did notice a spent fire extinguisher laying on it also.

I need to get a couple of those though I believe it would not have helped in this instance. He didn't want to unhook it and took off for a hose.

It runs but won't idle or rev up. Acts like the exhaust is plugged maybe. It has a pretty new looking one on it so I'm gonna skip it for now.

I can't test a thing on it because I don't have a computer that goes that far back. I'm gonna throw some cheap parts at it. Luckily I got the fuel filter off so I can check the pressure. I have the fittings soaking hoping they free up. One fitting is rusted bad. I kicked the key on and caught a little gas. It's clean with no water in it. I can blow through the fuel filter.

I'm gonna run down a map and coolant temperature sensor and also a fuel filter.

Spark plugs. I got one out and it looks like I was lucky it didn't leave the threads behind. Ugh.

I just walked over to dump my fuel sample and saw this.

The rust was washed into the pan with the gas. See that bubble?

I got another sample. It's not looking real good either. I don't know how much the engine could stand. I figure a little. It's running pretty rough.

I talked to the customer and they said it happened sudden. Their grandson was driving it and they were going to get more information.

The boy bought a echo weedeater for 5 bucks. He wanted it running. We just found the exhaust screen was plugged up. And of course the air filter was plugged. New plug and it runs like a dream. We are both all smiles.

I got some more work. Ac is out on a hot day.


Found a crack in the steel line.

Couldn't find a hose in the area so I brazed it. Evac and recharge system.

Neighbor bought a trailer with rigged up brakes.
A little cutting and grinding.

Tack it up and grind it.
Acts like a new one now. Cheaper also.

That old car had a bad pump and the tank had a bunch of water in it.

On the test drive a guy offered to buy it at the gas station. Said he wanted to fix (bling) it up. I got his number.

Replacing some shovels on a chisel plow.
One more plow to do. None of the grease zerks will take grease. I'm heading back to work on it.

Both tractors need greased. Awesome trapping ground If you don't like trees. I'll get a picture.
