I've cut up two pieces of equipment that are not being used anymore. I'm gonna stick them together. To buy what they need costs 5000.00. Just trying to save money. I'm cutting blocks.

Got it fixed. This planter has air bags for down pressure. It also has an air compressor that is 12 volts. Apparently the same fuse for the monitor runs this compressor. I found the compressor runs all the time. It has a pressure switch that shorted out so the compressor runs all the time. It would build to 130 psi. Should have kicked at 90 I believe. The owner found a brand new switch in the tool box on the planter apparently from the last owner. Back to cutting.

Last week I was working on a guys tractor and noticed a set of markers on an old international planter in the weeds. I went back over with a trailer and took them off because I know another guy with a jd 750 drill that needed them for 15 years. Lol. Works well. Mountain house supper.

I have the fork attachment attached. A little more fabricating and about 15 more rods and it's gonna be done except the plumbing. I got 9 hrs in it today.

I also have a new respect for you iron workers. Looks like you know what you are doing. I'm not an engineer, but I pay attention to steel. I went to school for heating air conditioning and refrigeration, but I never found a good boss. Lol. I was looking for one that would let me hunt, fish and trap. A lot. Lol.

Started the morning off with a jd lawnmower. It wouldn't start.
I checked the starter and found it had voltage from the key. I suspected the starter.
I found the battery and it had a glob of green goo on the + cable.
Cleaned it up and hook cables to it. All is good.
She also had a golf cart that would not run well. Pulled the plug and it was ugly. Ran to town for a sandwich and a plug. Fixed it really nice.
Paid with cash.
I might prepare to fish this evening if my phone doesn't ring.

Very cool!!! I'm always impressed with guys who's mechanical talents are an art form.
That's what the German and Japanese leaders never figured out in WWII. They tended to either build complex machines that were not easily fixed without well-trained mechanics and culturally they didn't have a lot of guys who were natural "tinkerers". The Americans on the other hand made fairly easily fixed equipment and had 10s of thousands of guys who were already real or back-yard mechanics. The talent pool was deep. After the production and logistics sides were in full swing by sometime in mid-to-late 1943, the Americans ran a global war machine that had never (will probably never again) been seen in the world. Both the Germans and Japanese were hard fighters but they simply could not keep up with the logistical/production beast the US created as well as the Americans being pretty tough fighters in their own right. And keeping stuff running and back up running after breaking down was a big part of that process.

What I would like to know is...have you done the first cutting yet ? I live just North of Tim and put my first cutting in on Wednesday, all small squares. A lot of round bales were baled last week, in our area. Tim, I like your round bale loader. Keith
