Can someone verify this as Juneberry. I have many trees/bushes with these berries and I'm pretty sure they are juneberry.


I believe this is gooseberry


Not sure what this is

The top photo is Juneberry.

The second photo is Gooseberry. Nice crop. Time for pie!

The bottom two photos are Skunkbush Sumac (Rhus trilobata), the berries can be used to make a lemonade-like drink.

Thank you peacekeeper. The skunkbush isn't poisonous then that is a good thing. The birds maybe eating them but not sure so I wasn't sure if they were good or not. I will research the skunkbush more to be able to use them..

Are these Juneberry ready to eat being red on color or do they need to be purple in color?

Juneberries (also known as Serviceberries) are usually purple when ripe. Good luck beating the birds to them.
