Nyhuntfish, I CONTACT THOSE PEOPLE EVERY WEEK. THIS IS THE LIST I USE. http://www.anjrpc.org/page/Contact_legislators Fisherman, Its tough, but NJ is my home. I call & send letters every week of the year. I was hoping when this post started that the all the NJ people on this site would join in. At least it would show the younger NJ trappers how to go about contacting our government and fight for what we have left. As you can see there isn't any help at all. You watch the other posts on this site. If there are people asking for help with snares or ADC help, people from NJ jump right in. I have been trapping for 48 yrs, I'm 58 now. My sons trap, now by 4 grandsons are going along. Its good to do things & fight behind the scenes, but when you have a trapping site like this one that reaches people all over the world, you should show everyone how your going about fighting for out trapping rights. As you can see there are not many replies from this post. I could keep on typing but don't want to get kicked off the site. The last time I typed to much I offended people. Sorry but thats how I feel.

Got a few replies today:
Thank you for your e-mail. As your representative in the New Jersey Senate, I value your input and I appreciate you taking the time to contact me about bill S179, which would prohibit the manufacture, sale, possession, importation, transportation, or use of certain traps.
As of January 9th, 2018, the bill S179 was introduced in the Senate and referred to the Senate Environment and Energy Committee. I will keep the information you’ve provided in mind as I continue to study and monitor this legislation. I have also forwarded your message to my policy advisor.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts about this legislation with me. Please do not hesitate to reach out in the future, should you have any questions or concerns you would like to discuss.
Sincerely,
Vin Gopal Senator District 11

Here is the other:
I wanted to thank you for emailing me regarding S179/A3110, which would prohibit the manufacture, sale, possession, importation, transportation, or use of certain traps. It is critically important that I hear from as many constituents as possible on issues like this, and so I appreciate you taking the time to contact our office.
On February 8th, this bill was introduced in the Assembly and referred to the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. I have passed your message along to my policy advisor for further review, and I will continue studying this legislation as it progresses through the Assembly.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. I’m always here to help.
Sincerely,
Eric Houghtaling Assemblyman District 11

Thank you for contacting me regarding S179/A3110. As you know, A3110, would ban the manufacture, sale, possession, importation, transportation, or use of certain traps. As your representative in the New Jersey General Assembly, I greatly appreciate hearing your feedback on the issues like this. As of February 8,2018, this bill has been introduced in the Assembly and referred to the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. I am currently in the process of studying the legislation, and I will be considering your input as I make a decision on how to cast my vote. I’ve also forwarded your message to my policy advisor for further review as we consider our approach to the legislation.
Please feel free to reach out again with any other questions, comments, or information. My door is always open. Sincerely,
