Turned 40 and like a switch got turned on I'm now gettting up at 3pm to make a trip to the bathroom. At least it's only one trip a night. Anyone had any luck with over the counter natural remedy before I visit my doc?

I would go to www.healingwithin.com and request a catalog. Order no. 800-300-7548. It's top of the line quality. The product name is Healthy Prostate & Ovary. You could an internet search and look for a cheaper source. I have no financial connections to this company.

I have been taking saw palmetto and nettle root and it has helped a lot.

Check the side effects on any Prescription meds and over the counter meds that you may be taking. They may be causing you problem.

Have you been examined and told you have an enlarged prostate? Have you had the PSA test? Talk to your Dr about your symptoms before you start medicating for something that might not be the cause of the problem. If you find it is enlarged, then you can have a discussion on how best to treat it.

The best thing you can use is Cialis. This will open up the blood flow and help stop having too (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) all the time.I had a bad problem with this and it helped. Also helps with blood pressure.10mg 2x a day.I tried saw palmetto and it didnt work.BUT everyone is different.Good luck!

In my early 40's I started having to get up once a night. Hated it. In my late 40's it was up to twice a night. In my early 50s I was up sometimes 3 times a night. 18 months ago I started using a CPAP and RARELY get up at all. Problem solved the first night on CPAP.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a known cause of nocturia, but few primary care physicians know it.

What many of us dont know is our bodies (kidneys) process liquids more efficiently lying down. Im in my early 50's and my doctor said at my last physical is its natural to have to go during the night. During the daytime we seldom go 8 hrs without peeing. Dont always believe the commercials we see on TV.

Take the above advice! I tried the over the counter and home remedies starting at about 50 for the same problem. I finally seen a doctor at 55 and no longer have a prostate, with lingering problems. Don't put it off, a check up with a urologist and a PSA test are cheap.
