I cant seem to find out what these are. They are floating along the bank of a stretch of river in trapping. It seems to be some kind of gourd or squash or at least that's what the seeds look like and they are quite hard to break. Any of you have an idea of what this could be?

Looks like some kind of gourd to me, but better crack them and make sure they aren't beaver eggs first. Lol

I think they are wild gourds. They grow around creeks here. Although I do like the beaver eggs explanation.

Looks like bushel gourd's but not sure . If they are you can cut the top out and remove the seeds and make a bowl out of it . They can be wood burned with a tool to make crafts if this is what it is.
