Headed down to feed the group, having pulled beef with a variety of bbq sauces on buns from our favorite bakery and bacon potato soup.
Hope to see a bunch of folks there.

Speaking of my favorite bakery, they are in a contest and need votes, sure would appreciate everyone voting for them just to help out unless your favorite is in the running. You can vote once a day until July. vote here click Idaho and the bakery is the bakers dozen, thanks!

Couple of nice looking cats.

Looks like sort of a small sale. Any other details? Prices? Who were the buyers?

Thanks.

Looks like those pics were taken after the sale when all the fur was bundled so it doesn't look like so much but it was decent for Rupert. USRT announced that we can all plan on a sale there every year. I think this was just the fourth year.

Furs for Fun, ALCC, Ft. Benton, Western Montana, Rocky Mountain, Sundown, Mr. Starvalleytrappe and two or three others that I'm forgetting.

Lots of cats from out of state. I heard every thing from $45 to $1100.

I averaged $5.73 on Feb./March rats. Very happy with that.

Furs for Fun was buying all the foxes. Mine went for $52 for the pair.

Idaho fur, bruce, thunder mountain, Boyd
Were some others

Idaho fur bought the top cat at 1100. I believe most cats were bought by kortum and Idaho fur I believe bought the second most. Other cat buyers were Rocky Mountain and bruce. Not sure if I'm missing anyone. I didn't get a very good pic of the top cat but it is the cat on the right in the pic.

Usrta did a great job and the turnout was very good. Close to 100 cats I believe and prices seemed good on most items. Nice meeting a few of you there today

That is a nice turnout of buyers. Glad to see that.

Now that I look at the pictures, you are probably right about it being after the grading was done and the fur bundled - I see the rats are neatly boxed up.

Thunder mountain bought a lot of the high end coyotes. Including the 90avg on one lot of 66. George also bought a number of coyotes. Fort Benton bought the porky hair

Good coyotes are doing really well this year. Wish I could have caught more. That guys wife (I assume) nearly fell off the bench when they read that bid.

Ah yes those are when it's bundled. I should have looked at that. I have some pictures from earlier in the sale.

I thought it was a really good sale. Good to finally meet all of you guys. Wonderful group of guys that really have a true passion and love for trapping.

I've definitely had better days. Now I gotta figure out what to do with all that unsold fur.
The one bright spot was meeting in person and getting to hang out with a bunch of local trappers.

The gentleman from the Blackfoot area with the 66 yotes at the $90 average also had a $900 cat. He was so tickled, made my day to see him so blown away especially since his 2 young grandsons helped him with that line. Here are the photos I got. Also my slip, keep in mind it was mostly early fur and my first year. Still have lots of coon in the freezer and 2 beaver I'm tanning.

Interesting that your coyotes didn't sell. Badgers, that is a hit or miss item. If you want to continue this discussion, we can do so via PM so that the ' peanut gallery' isn't involved.

Mine seemed to be on the low end but from quick calculations through out porky was going for 25-40 /ounce.
