Hey I have some box traps and wire traps have been baiting them with apples but the ants eat the apples within couple days does anyone have any ideas on what or may work better

Would you just put a hand full of table salt in back of trap or a piece of salt block

Maybe elevate cut up apples in a suet cage in a cage trap. It may help keep the ants away.

Usually when people use box traps to catch rabbits they want the rabbits alive.Doubt snares would be a good option smile
