I would like to hear yours

Space between chimneys is 1- 1 1/2"

30 + bats are in the upper 10 feet

Some in the attic behind them.

The only access for them to attic is through the hole between the chimneys

Not asking about price. I already sold it and have a plan that is very efficient

Not sure what your plan is, but be aware that that crack will move as the weather changes.

Yep, no mortar in my plan. That's exactly what I explained to my son as I teach him

I would use sheet metal attached to both chimneys so that as the chimneys flex it will slide in and out but still be a solid seal

It would depend on the budget for time and materials. Since they don't chew back in, you have more options.

Foam applied with a long nozzled gun would work.

Next up would be a backer plus silicone. It would be messy at the top between the chimneys, but nobody is going to look up there.

Sheet metal would look great and last a long time. If you have a long brake it could go fast too, but is more expensive than silicone and foam.
