Going to be near mackinaw city towards the end of June, and looking for some input on some local fishing guides out on the big lake.. It will be me, wife, and two boys. Hoping to catch some salmon, and possible lake trout?
Thanks

I bet they book up pretty solid. Might want to call ahead and line up something. I have no names for you though. I have gone out of grindstone point and we booked weeks ahead to get a slot. Petoskey and Alpena would be pretty close too.

Should be some good leads for you on the Michigan Charter Boat Association website. If you happen to make it down to Bay City and are interested in walleye on Saginaw Bay let me know I can help you out.

The area fishing assosiation will help you get on a boat. Never fished that far north for salmon or trout though. Fishing outlook is good for my area a few hours south. Cohos showed up in force last week.
From memorial day.
4 man limit about 3.5 hr trip to get the kinks worked out before my buddies charter season kicks in to high gear this week.
If you dont have luck figuring out a trip up there pm me I can give you some names down here. Weekends fill fast or are already full but afternoon and week days are generally available with a shorter notice.

I am sure there are many, but the only one I can think of goes out of Cedar River in the U.P. I cannot remember the name of his boat but the guy goes by J-Mac a google search of fishing guides out of Cedar River Michigan should get you his contact. We fished the same water often and he is known for going above and beyond for his clients.
Good luck

Think I am going to book with diabolical fishing guide services.. Talked with mark a few times now and he seems to really have all his ducks in a row.. Any input on his guide services would be great.. Thanks

I think you will have a great time with them. I would expect a catch of mostly lake trout and hopefully some kings, steelhead and maybe an atlantic thrown in. Please report back on how it goes and what you catch.
